Silvana Kürschner Takes on the Position as Head of Leipziger Messe International
Silvana Kürschner took on the leadership of Leipziger Messe International (LMI) on 1 January 2022. As an authorised signatory, she will be reporting to Managing Director Markus Geisenberger. Silvana Kürschner already leads the Business Development / Trade Fair division at Leipziger Messe. In addition to being responsible for new business and market research, she also manages the expo PetroTrans, protekt and musicpark trade fairs as well as the GGS - Fachmesse Gefahrgut // Gefahrstoff (Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances) trade fair.
After studying political science, she began working at Leipziger Messe in 1997 and held various positions before accepting a role as head of the business development division in 2011. She has been an authorised signatory for the Leipziger Messe Group of Companies since 2020.
Leipziger Messe International GmbH belongs to the Leipziger Messe Group of Companies and supports companies, associations and institutions from Germany and other countries at trade fairs across the world. The business field covers exhibitor support at international trade fairs, German communal stands commissioned by federal and state governments, as well as presentations by single companies, cooperation with organisers of established industry trade fairs and the organisation of Leipziger Messe trade fairs abroad. Among others, these include the denkmal Russia-Moscow, Russia's most significant trade fair for restoration, monument conservation and museum technology, as well as the Russian Forum on Prosthetics & Orthotics (RFPO), the only platform in Russia that brings together all stakeholders from the prosthetics and orthotics industry.
